Trisha Batchoo

Product-minded engineer turning real-world problems into practical AI tools

I bring over a decade of experience across software engineering, data, and product, including consulting across industries and helping people build technical skills. I bridge technical and business perspectives to understand unfamiliar problems, design useful solutions, and turn them into working systems.

My current work focuses on AI agents: building tools around real workflows, making their behavior observable, and developing ways to evaluate whether their outputs are useful.

Experience

A decade in technology

My career has moved across product, data, and software engineering, giving me an unusually complete view of how technical products are shaped, built, and adopted.

With each role, the throughline has been the same: understanding complex systems, identifying where people get stuck, and building clearer ways forward.

5 roles · 2014 — present
  • Guide early- and mid-career professionals through projects in data analysis and application development, helping them turn technical concepts into clear decisions and working solutions.

  • After a decade in technology, took time to travel, complete an intensive climate-tech program through Terra.do, and explore how emerging tools could be applied to real-world problems.

  • Built and improved marketplace capabilities used by more than 50k active sellers, translating complex inventory, order, and payment workflows into reliable software.

  • Short-term product and growth engagements spanning livestreaming and e-commerce.

  • Over five years, moved from partner marketing into product management, test automation, and data engineering—developing an increasingly technical perspective on how platforms are built, tested, and deployed.

    • Jan 2018 — Jan 2020

Data Engineer, Fullstack — Built the data foundation for a new supply-side platform — ingestion pipelines, ETL, and a cookie-matching service handling thousands of requests per hour.

    • Jul 2017 — Dec 2017

QA Engineer, Fullstack — Built a test-automation framework and CI/CD pipeline from scratch, a deliberate short-term bridge from product into engineering.

    • Jun 2015 — Jun 2017

Product Manager, Partner Product — Drove Dailymotion's partner platform overhaul, including its first automated content-protection tool, serving 300k+ partners.

    • Sep 2014 — May 2015

Marketing Manager, Partner Product — Led partner marketing strategy, growing the partner segment from 45k to 300k active subscribers.

About

I’m an engineer who enjoys making sense of unfamiliar problems and turning that understanding into working systems. My work spans software engineering, data, product, and consulting, and that range shapes how I approach both the questions and the building.

I studied Computer Science and History at Wesleyan University, pairing an interest in how systems work with a curiosity about people and context. That combination still shapes how I approach a new problem. I want to understand where people encounter friction, what they’re trying to accomplish, and whether the solution they initially describe addresses the underlying need. I enjoy working through those questions with people, then translating what we learn into technical decisions. That process of discovery genuinely lights me up.

So does building. I love turning what I learn into technical systems, shipping products that work reliably, and helping others understand the technical infrastructure behind them. While learning the programming language Go, I encountered a phrase from its co-creator Rob Pike that has since become a guiding principle: “Simplicity is complicated.” Making something feel simple requires deep understanding, careful decisions, and respect for the people who will use it.

My current AI projects bring these interests together. I’m exploring how agents can support the work people do today—and open up new ways of working.

Outside of tech, you’ll find me practicing aerial silks, hiking, taking photographs, or looking for new music.
